To cut this short, I went to see a guy today about some probs with my car, VX specialist, and what he showed me was rather interesting...

TIS200, some of you will have prob heard of this but to me it was all new.

Basically its a program that allows you to search recalls, field remedies on your car, and having probs with my gear box which is booked in on Monday at the stealers, I was wanting all the info and ammo I could get.

When the guy did a search for my prob on this setup, right away it came up with about 10-12 noted problems, 1st one being..."Cold start, when selecting 1st and 2nd gears when cold there is friction and some crunching of gears," or words to that effect.

Next was the field remedies, there were replacing the whole gear box at one point, but now they have a fitting kit instead, so will be informing the stealers on Monday about this aswel..lol

Yep, the TIS is great to look through at Field Remedies - see all the known problems that Vx are aware of and the remedy for them!

I have started to get the dreaded notchy gear change pretty bad... so maybe a wee trip to VX in the next couple of weeks...

The guy was a bit unsure of me at first, but after we got talking he basically showed me a few things on TIS and what it can do...oh to have full access to this would save a lot of time and money....

Aye, get yer butt up to the stealers Steven, mention or drop this TSI thingy into the conversation, that you have seen there is a fitting kit to sort this problem out...

Yep, it's great to watch their faces when you say that you think Field Remedy #xyz is applicable to your car!!
