hello to all and swirl flaps

hi all im ja new on here
ive just got a 2.2 direct z22yh and guess what theres a swirl flap problem on it the control arm has fall of and broke in 2 places i think i can repair it with epoxy and a couple of fishing beeds for the bearings but not sure which side to glue it i think the groves on it could be runners to house the bar or arm
the main piont is the car seems to be running fairly ok but i would expect more power in 1st n 2nd also the idle seems to be low around 700/750rpm
the chock only comes on rarely at about 1000rpm am i right in saying this due to the arm missing
been to vaxhall bar was £13.06 but has been superseeded by another part containing swirl flap arms but no flaps i think /a bracket/a gasket but not for the 8 ports i think it sits on top of manifold all for £206 plus vat
or a new full manifold for£425 plus vat
does any one know any where to get a new manifold with out paying main dealer prices
also cars just been in to have handbrake recall done which has come back in a worse state than when i took it in i think it would fail an mot now
and also had the high pressure value recall done and theyve chewed up the two fixing bolts on it even though they are brand new i dont think they will come of again there that bad
hense i dont have any confidence in vauxhall i think they are ******* idiots

does anyone know what mpg i should be getting out of a 2.2 direct est its around 28 at mo will there swirl flaps increase this if i get them fixed
