    Default Signum interior chrome strip

On the Signum, i guess the Vectra is the same there are several chrome strips on the dash board etc.

On the one above the glovebox mine has a scratch which i have tried the chrome cleaners Solvol autosol and it didnt help.

I am right in thinking this is metal and not plastic ?

The chrome strip looks a bit uneven in its shine, any tips on getting this to look better, is it just a mater of more polishing to even things out ?

Failing that can you buy new chrome strips and are they easy to fit ??

Can't help with tips on cleaning/polishing it as I don't know exactly what the material is as I have the tortoise shell effect ones.

But in reply to your last question, you can buy then from the dealer and they are easy to replace - they just unclip from the dash.

Thanks Duncan do you have to replace the whole plastic trim as well or just the chrome insert ?

I ve seen mentioned the plastic trim unclips, not sure about the chrome part on its own ?

Not with you. The whole strip that runs along the dash is the bit that unclips - not sure what you mean by chrome insert?

Has Siggy man got a facelift?

Their strip is like a brushed steel with a chrome section towards the end (IIRC) The replacement part will be the whole strip along the dash from the wheel to the passenger's door.

Ah, didn't realise the facelift trim was 'two tone', but as Brocks says, it'll be the whole strip that the part will come as.

I've had a close look at Andyvecs lookin for nice ways to create a semi-facelift vectra. Ditched it when I realised the Door cards would have to be replaced. Too lazy!

Default Help how to remove dashboard trim

Can anybody advise how to remove the dashboard trim on the Signum 2006 facelift model.

Its the trim that goes from the steering wheel to the passenger door sits under the sat nav screen and above the glovebox.

It is charcoal in colour with chrome insert.

I am thinking of replacing my scratched one as they only cost £33
