    Unhappy Job hunting

bit random but thought id relieve my boredom for a brief second on here.

bored to tears of being sat here scrolling through endless amounts of job recruitment sites.

has anyone ever had any look finding work through these receuitment agencys?

Well it depends on what you're looking for mate. To be honest I applied for a load of jobs before, and didn't get any luck. I managed to get a referral to a company my mate was working for.

I just employed someone from an agency.
I had 4 agencies looking for the right candidates for me.
Every agency ended up looking on-line to find the right person.
    Sites like monster.co.uk
If you put your details/cv on-line in a couple of places, agencies will find you (if you are luck)
But I would visit every agency within the area you want to work.
Be polite and friendly + give them a call from time to time as a reminder , and they will work harder for you.

Not taking the ****, but have you tried the job centre? Decent jobs are hard to find candidates for on there, but companies do use it. worth a look.

Agencies in my experience are ****e.

Don't get me wrong chase every opportunity, just past experience with engineering agencies not understanding the trade they are representing. To the op, chase good old Network Rail up, servicemen are always favoured - I'm sure your department can put you in touch.

I've been told British rail are recruiting and also bt for engineers.

So if push comes to shove i could start looking down that route.

But I love cars, so trying to get in somewhere that doesn't require main dealer experience. ( I've applied for the most local ones anyway as goota be worth a shot)

Either that or I'm gonna have to try get some work experience in a dealer.
