If you want comfort don't fit coilovers

A decent eibach and bilstein setup will firm up the handling with little change to the comfort

Lowering and comfort generally don't go together, shorter springs mean less play, however as john said, if you go for springs, and keep your same shock absorbers, and obv tyres and wheels are the same too, then the ride comfort will not be compromised too much and it'll handle and look a lot nicer, and it's cheaper than coilovers. But if you want to maintain ride comfort from experience i would avoid coilovers at all costs

I had the opposite experience with my Audi.

I fitted KW lowering springs and matched uprated shocks and the handling was good but it gave a bumpy ride.

I then tried PI spring with standard shocks and that was terrible.

I then fitted a V-Maxx coilover kit wound down fairly low & that gave great handling but a really comfortable ride.

Because of this past experience, I'm wondering whether I may not be happy with just using lowering springs.
