    Default window blind retrofit

So i picked up some window blinds for a very good price and i'm wondering, who has retrofitted them? What's the best way to make sure the cut out for the surround is in the right place and nice and neat?

Yeah man. I cut a slot out of the door card. The blind fits into a pre-made slot and screw holes in the inside of the card. There is a cover that goes over the top which will hide and of the 'issues' you may get when cutting it out. I recommend using a dremmel or a jigsaw with a hss blade in it. I'd also put something over the metal jigsaw slide to stop any damage to the card material. Let me know when you are planning to do it. If you want a hand (someone to hold the doorcard would be useful) i could pop over.

Be careful, Signum and Estate blinds are VERY different.

The door cards are inter-changeable between Signums and Estates because the bottom half of the door is identical, the top half that the blind covers ISN'T! Don't make the mistake I did and buy Signum blinds thinking they'd fit the estate (I have blinds in mine but they're a bit worn and want replacing), they DON'T!

Edit: The part numbers on my ESTATE blinds are:

Opel part numbers 10415099X and 10314999X
