I think the problem with that test is that a tyre effects so much more than just straight line braking. There is no consideration there for durability, road noise, comfort, cost, cornering grip. All of which are factors that influence a users choice. Soem people are even bothered about how pretty the tread pattern is!
I Guess the compound is the same so performance shouldn't be affected too much by size??? not a lot in the top performers though either. and i wouldn't think that front or rear wheel drive would matter too much when it comes to braking??
It actually confirms what I already thgink about NEXEN tyres as a good all round tyre and excellent value at about 65 quid a corner fitted!! they don't last forever but thats the balance when grip is good.
