Default Ive had the dash in bits

Ive had the dash in bits this morning trying to figure a way to put my gps antenna on top of the dash like Chrisvectra has done well with great results i have done it and i now dont lose my signal like before has it was buried at the back of my cd70.

Upon having a look i have been wondering if i could route it up the a pillar through the roof lining and put it somewhere behind my roof light what do you guys think do you think it will work

i have thought about this too but i am not sure antennas get a good reception through metal so it would have to be on the glass somewhere i think.

My GPS antenna sits ontop of the centre speaker on the dash under the cover so you can't see it. There's a gap straight through between the vents for the cable to go to the back of the head unit.

Ive got the speaker there and i have no gap whatsoever mate been trying to figure a way to route it im not to keen on it being on top of the dash so i will figure a way of solving it whether i can route it and stick it somewhere hidden behind the rear view mirror

No gap? Weird, mines sitting on top of the speaker (you can see it in the pic) and there's gut loads of space. Do you have a different speaker fitted other than standard perhaps?

Mines exactly the same as Ian's - Mounted on top of the speaker. Only fiddly part was getting the blue fakra connector down into the space behind the dash to get to the back of the CD70.

I used a metal coathangar and taped the connector to it and wiggled it through eventually.

The gap isn't really visible because of the angle you have to have your head at, if you take the centre dash vents out you'll see daylight if you look through.

In order to run the cable you need to lift the speaker at least partially out as the gap is big enough for the cable but not the plug, so you lift the speaker up, feed the plug through and then screw the speaker back down again.

It's fiddly but the best place for it in my opinion.

Maybe the factory bluetooth speaker is much bigger than the standard centre speaker I don't honestly know as I don't have the factory bluetooth.

The gap is in the rear left hand corner as you look at it
