Bouncy bouncy

Vectra C 06 LS. MOT last week and sailed it apart from a rear tyre change. Since then the car has felt a bit bouncy to drive, even on decent roads driving alone, feels like driving in a light wind moving side to side. Checked tyre pressures and all ok. Just wondering if a suspension check would be worth it or is there something specific to target first to sort. Also think I feel a slight understeer or that may just be me adjustign to the side to side movement. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your shock absorbers are not working properly. Try bouncing each corner of the car in turn. If you push down on the car and release the pressure, the car should return to its start position with minimal bouncing - upwards and downwards oscillation. I think one or two single up and down movements are permissible. Any more and the shock absorbers need replacing.

sounds like shocks on the way out.... but may be rear upper control arms as they allow swaying if the are worn.

you need to grab the top of each rear wheel, with hands inside the arch and pull it towards you hard and fairly quickly. if it moves then they are shot. you may hear a clunk as they fall back into place too.
