Default Facelift V6 CDTi DPF Problem

Has anyone or do you know anyone that has or had a problem with the DPF. I posted a thread about my **** fuel consumption here. Well I have now got it worked out that it could be a faulty DPF.
The problem happens at intervals of between 500-1000 miles and the fuel consumption doubles for a period of 8-12 miles or 15mins(worked it all out today as I drove back from Aberdeen). So doing 70 in 6th and get 20mpg. Once the DPF has finished it's jobby consumption goes back up to 40ish mpg.

Is it possible to replace the DPF? Going to the stealers tommorrow with this info, so anything anyone can throw up here will help me with my case.

I had my DPF replaced twice as well as fuel pump as this was also an issue. Also had the latest flash to latest firmware on the ECU and that solved it for me.

If you had have a problem with the DPF then the only way mine was solved was with a new DPF then a firmware upgrade

    HTH.

Had a call from Luton today. The car is booked in for next Thursday to the local dealers. They are going to take the DPF out, re-assemble and then do a manual regeneration to see how it works!!!!! Aparently it should not use any more fuel during the auto regeneration at motorway speeds.

My argument was stop flaffing about and just replace it, but no they have to investigate. There is another facelift V6 CDTi in the country with an identical problem, anyone here?

No it isn't me either but I am very interested in this as I have never considered my fuel economy to be great and it seems lower than Andy (VectraV6CDTi)'s when that was standard.

    Default v6 trouble

guys check out the troubles I had recently with my V6 Cdti
    boost pressure sensor
    air flow meter and
eventually traced to a sticky rod for the wastegate in the turbo !
was told that was why they reckoned it was going to overboost in the first place.
