Petrol or diesel? I have 32 all round usually.
1.8 petrol 57plate
Yeah generally put 32 all round in petrol cars, unless the car's full with you.
I have seen 39 fronts and 35 rears, seemed high but found a few places stating these figs and am running mine at those pressures?
I check and inflate to 40psi front and rear.. 1.9CDTi 150
According to my manual the 1.8 petrol should be psi and (bar)
Front 39(2.7) Rear 35(2.5) for up to 3 people
Front 41(2.8) Rear 48(3.3) Fully loaded..
was always taught , double the rim size for fronts and rears 3 psi less....
I have 36psi all round but it bangs your teeth out
tonyo- I'd check youir manual as mine is a 2.0dti elite- about the same as a cdti...
normal load 35 front 35 rear
fully loaded 36 front 42 rear
Chewy- I'd think 32 would be near the mark for a 1.8 petrol
pressure is calculated based on weight of car and not rim size and tyre profile.
so I'd check what the pressure is for 17 or 18 rims in your manual and go with the same pressure as that will be right.
