Default Interior auto dimming mirror question

I fitted a auto dimming mirror to my 08 plate vectra a few weeks ago and its brilliant, however it dims with the interior light on and when in reverse.

Is there anything i could do to stop this? As far as im aware the roof loom was out of a preface. Would this be the problem?

    Cheers.

You need to us Tech2/Vauxcom/opcom to activate the autodim function. The car needs to know its there so that it doesn't dim in reverse or when the interior light is on.

    aright mate.

I've had a look at opcom but cannot find anything to activate it.

But i have looked ay the disscussion for the how 2 and it appears there is 2 different looms, one with 3 wires (which i have) and one with like heaps more.

Just noticed you have fitted one, which loom did you use?

But on some cars.. it just dont want to know that it has rear reading lights.. so cant change that option on some, even that it has rear reading lights, that then dims the mirror (like my car does.. but dont dim when in reverse or with a door open)

I thought it was only people looking for help and support that the admins didn't like about this. I will know for future. Cheers.

Have you programmed the REC to say you have the mirror fitted?
