    Default is it just me?

got a cd70 fitted last friday after ditching the cd30 with little display and found the bc works ok for fuel consumption.now i find i am constantly trying to improve the mpg, in nearly 2 years of owning the cdti i have never got over 38mpg,using the fill it up -wait till fuel light comes on and refill to the top and calc the fuel consumptionmethod.admittedly i am now driving less like a loon but i wonder when the bc god will let me drive a little more enthusiastically.
sure i'm not the only one.
final question what functions am i missing out on by not visiting the stealers to get stuff activated
    thanks mrk

Depends what sort of driving you're doing mate - when I do motorway cruising I can get over 60mpg out of mine, but average about 50 with a mixture of urban and extra-urban...

In standard setup a CD70 Navi with colour display will give you 3 main functions - Audio, Nav, BC

If you have all the relevent modules, etc, it can be activated to permit Bluetooth and Aux In as well.

Once you select BC main and press the big dial, it enters the BC.

Once in BC you should see you have BC1, BC2 and a timer/stopwatch function. Both BCs show the same MPG data.

On mine I leave BC2 to show MPG data pretty much since I got the car, but BC1 I reset at each refuelling so it gives me data per tank.

Only thing I've used the stopwatch function for so far was having a bash at working out the 0-60 time for my GSi.

I think this goes back to the question of if your Vectra is Full or Half CanBus. CD70 requires a Full CanBus setup or a shedload of extra wiring in a Half CanBus vehicle.

If you have six round buttons as remotes on your steering wheel you have Half Canbus.

If you have two square buttons and a scroller on each side of the steering wheel, then you have a Full CanBus vehicle.
