Angry Some one left a present on my car.....

Went for a walk today at rothervalley near my, Was quite lazy and took the car down (its only about half mile from me )

Enjoyed the walk, was lovley weather

Returned to my car as another car was pulling away that was parked next to me (i had purposly parked out of the way, where there was no cars nearby)

Got to the car, and Missus said "omg" i didnt think much, walked around the car, and there is now a nice dirty scratch down my car! Not impressed!, and i didnt get any details, nor is anything on camera!

It doesnt look like a key mark) its not deep enough, In places it can be felt, It looks much more like a button as some one has squeezed past with a fat arse!

I was due a trip to the body shop for a few marks i had when purchasing the car, but wasnt expecting this, nor was i planning to go for a few months.

    Not the best pictures,

Starts at front above passanger door handle, disapears, re appears on back door, then again on rear wing

    Front door

    Rear Door

    Rear Quarter

and from the side, the whole car, (its given it a wash to see the full extent of the mark, but cant be seen in this picture)

My main concern is, Is this part respray job now? Or think i could be lucky and some chance of this been machine polished out? I cant really afford for a body shop job at the moment after all the work ive done already.

Then, any one know of a decent place in/around sheffield for a good machine polish or bodyshop?

Looks like its been keyed to me, normally you get a wavey line like that!. Try some de-nib pads and some polish. (think they are about 2500-3000 grit)

    Agreed.

The doors look like they should polish out, but the start of the rear quarter looks a bit deeper.

I may be making an appearance down at rothervalley on the meet, if im free that is. Would be great to meet some people.

If it is Keying its not that good, Just dont get why some one would do this when parked up at Rothervalley. They can all be felt, So is some depth to them, but not down to metal luckily, Could be worth a try machining them maybe, Can always try.

I tried some Megs Scratch X, but its made no difference, though i would say by hand is no where near what a machine will be able to do.

Will try to get some better pictures tomorrow when camera is charged (i used phone for the above ones)

I hate my car being damaged, and I park out of the way when I can, so I know how you feel.
But it might not be a human, it might have been a dog holding a stick or even a branch sticking out of the shrubbery on the way into the car park.
Last year I stopped and cut off a branch that was sticking out into the road on my daily commute after it scratched my car.
    Hope you get it sorted.
