Guys
Apart from the obvious 30bhp difference, what are the differences between a CDTI 120bhp and a 150bhp. Is it engine management or is the engine fundamentally different.?

I think one is eight valve and the other sixteen valve
just a start!!
Wernt earlier 120's still 16V but detuned? I maybe wrong....
not sure if i recall this correctly, there were 2 enginers the 8V 120bhp and the 16V 150bhp one. they then did away with the 8V 120bhp and used a 16v version installed but detuned it to 120bhp.??
Anyone to substanciate or deny my recollection?
My 06 pre facelift is deffo 8v.
older cars have a choice of 2 engines ..one 120bhp 8 valve ..and a 16v 150bhp ...the later cars have 1 engine ..but a choice of power ..120bhp or 150 bhp
No they put a detuned 16v in some Astra's because of a temporary lack of 8v engines. I've never heard of a Vectra with a 120bhp 16v although several people did the test (on this forum, but also in Belgium and Germany).
But there exist a detuned 100bhp 8v in the vectra since this year
Z19DTH or Y19DTH are the 16v 150ps (148.5bhp)
Z19DT or Y19DT are the 8v 120ps (118.8bhp)
As said, there was never a 120ps 16v in the Vectra, only the astra. Having said that, my engine identified its self as an astra engine when 888 tried to tune it, so go figure!?
