Default Cambelt change on a CDTI 150 Question

OK - so an odd one.

If a car has supposably had its cambelt changed but no documentation - are there any real tailtail signs...

Obvous are stickers on cover etc I know - but thinking more somethingf that yuou can tell has been removed / replaced.

I gess look for bolt movement etc is all you can do...

I don't think there's any sure fire way to tell mate as you don't know if they changed the belt along with all the tensioners and or/water pump, or just the belt...

If in doubt, get it all changed...

Get the cover off and see if its a VX belt, if its a Gates or Contitech it might have been changed.

TBH id be more worried about the water pump on the 1.9. Most failures seem to be caused by the water pump seizing and breaking the belt.
