2.0T owners - couple of questions

Just got my 2.0t and loving it so far - just got a couple of questions for any other 2.0t owners!

- is the clutch quite soft and the gearchange fairly notchy as normal (i.e your can't hurry a gearchange!) I've had a 1.9 diesel and a 1.8 petrol and they've both been completely different as well!

- is there any retrofit bluetooth that can be added to the CD70 Nav?

Loving the smooth engine though - the 30mpg less so!

Gear change can be a little notchy, There was a field remedy for the amount of oil that should be in the box, Cant remember the details off the top of my head. Do a search and it will come up.

Bluetooth can be retro fitted, drop a PM to Andy.l he's your man to speak too on that.

Cheers. I think I've read something on here before about reducing the amount of oil in the gearbox - is the 6 speed box the same in the diesels and the 2.0t?

IIRC the 2.0T has the F40 gearbox, I could be wrong tho

Glad your enjoying the engine fella it really is a gem!

As for the gearbox, i've tried all the remedys with mine and its still notchy as hell from 1st to 2nd so best get used to it lol

Yeah the clutch is completely different to anything I've driven before. The bite mark seems really far up as well, not sure if that's normal but hey ho, it's going good, I love it!

Yea its a F40 box as used the the 2.2s and diesels

Yeah it is 1st to 2nd where I notice it the most - so I'm glad its not just me. 2nd to 3rd is sweet and pulling away in 3rd is hmmmmmmmmmmm lovely!

The clutch is quite soft feeling, my old 1.8 was very firm and springy! This one feels like the pedal spring is a lot less 'bouncy'!

Can't really comment on the clutch other than when i first got mine it took me ages to get used to the biting point, felt like it was all over the place but got used to it in the end.

The gearboxes is what lets these cars down, i always take my time changing between first and second now because the crunch it makes if you do it fast is quite painful lol
