Looks an interesting bit of kit. As long as you remember to charge it and who provides the mobile phone coverage?
Additionally, how long will the Sim be active for?
Not sure. My brother only just sent me the link, I put it up here and haven't looked at it properly yet.
Will look later after work.
Guilty of doing the same! Just looked at the inital blurb.
Some of these things only have a short life span as the Sim contracts run out.
I would also doubt that it would reduce your insurance premiums, which is the main reason for fitting a tracker. Also, the professional trackers are linked with the Police.
Would you really want to go and try and find your car after it had been TWOC'd?
Got a couple of Gotek 7 Stealths, very similar with the web access and iphone app, Credits are easy to top up and the units can be configured to transmit data at intervals you want
Thats a good one Pete, looks quite a bit more comprehensive.
The Gotek7's we have are 10 months old, and the sims are still working fine..
These wont do anything to reduce insurance as you need an insurance approved unit, I have a Cat 5 (ADR) Cobra in my RRS, and it does'nt reduce the insurance by much..
They are'nt bad units, last a long time on there own, or you can get a wiring kit to hardwire them into the vehicle as we've done
They also do the same the the ones in the video if you call the GPS unit it will answer, hang up and then send an SMS (if you're on the approved caller list) and send the same info as the unit in the vide o

Car I just sold had Tracker fitted but I couldn't get any discount of my cheapest quote for it so it was inactive.
Something I could track myself would be cool..
I have a tracker fitted but inactive atm. £199 per year or £399 for the life of the ownership of the vec. Not sure I got that much cheaper insurance quotes from what I remember.
