Yes - I live in rural lincolnshire, and I work in rural lincolnshire.

I have to travel 36 miles each way to work and back via 50% A roads and 50% B roads......

There is no way I can car share - public services don't go near my place of work, and I can't work from home.......its narrow minded ideas such as road charging that really pi55es me off.....and proves that this government isn't in touch with the whole nation.....

I live in Wirral and work in Stockport....47 miles each way 45 miles on the motorway during rush hour. So yes I am against charging. I've been looking for a job nearer home for the last 8 years. In my game there arn't many employers near me. As above can't car share and no public transport. I did ask about working from home....Works reply....

I'd mind less if I travelled on the motorway - that'd be cheaper - but its going to cost more travelling through the countryside - your bu99ered if you live in the countryside then!!!!!!!

    Thanks Mr Bluuuurrrrrrrr!

the way they're building houses round us, there'll soon be no countryside..

having been born and brought up in the middle of now-where, it saddens me how rural folk and the rural issues are being sidelined..Public transport... Where?? the last bus service was withdrawn in '99...

ill quit and live on the dole

    we pay petrol tax
    petrol vat
    road tax
and now they want road tolls on roads that have allready been paid for thru the taxes.
and ive heard the tolls arn't going to be light there talking 25p per mile to 50p per mile depending on time of day and where u live.

I wouldn't mind so much if they abolished Road Tax and went with a moddest charge for using the roads, but as we all know, all they're trying to do is force the motorist off the roads and into totally inadequate public transport.

The M6 toll road is ****** good though.

Totally agree with you Brocks. If they charge for major routes then all the minor routes will clog up.

    Solution - ?????? God knows!
