    Default Headlight help please

Hi i have a Signum 3.0 CDTI design 04 with what i thought were after market HID kit and when i brought it of the dealer last year one of the headlights wasnt working and they fixed the car before i took it..
Now nearly a year on the other headlight flickers and then doesnt work and comes up on the dash with a headlight fault.
After taking the non working headlight out today i noticed it has the ballasts attatched under neath from the factory and yet the other one that the dealer fixed has a new ballast attached.

Now to my dilema..how do i rectify this problem.....not impressed with Hids can i take it back to standard white bulbs or does it mean a new headlight...???????

You have AFL's Adaptive Forward Lighting. Have you tried a new HID bulb? It will either be that or a ballast that is away.

Thanks for your offer mate your soooo kind.....took the other headlight out this morning and am now really ****ed off..
As the pictures show it looks like the dealer has replaced the AFL with a normal HID ballast and wired it in....never noticed the difference as i have never had AFL lights..

    A AFL bulb is @ £130
    ballast @£70
    ignitor @£????

So as a cheaper option i suppose ill be buying a HID upgrade sett and get someone to wire them in for me.
As to MOT are these a failure ,,,???

Bulb is about 15-30£ on ebay (D2S or is is D1S you need).
Ballast you could get them on ebay, if looking correct places new is about 70£
Ignitor not that bad about 30£

all parts can be found on ebay
