Default Has anyone removed the inner orange lense?

Has anyone removed the inner orange lense from the little side indicator units, located on the wings?

Went out earlier to de-tango the clear indicators on the estate and instead of an orange bulb (nothings ever easy lol) i found a clear bulb and an orange filter down the light unit

Anyway around it other than tint spraying my originals and the tacky chrome ones from aceparts, ebay?

Silver bulbs are painted that way to flash amber, and you cant see them when fitted.

Yeah, that was the idea, pop in chrome bulbs, simple! No orange glare when not flashing. However in the wings my clear indicators have an orange lense inside and are clear bulbed. So just changing the bulbs does not get rid of the orange glare when not flashing... So changing the bulb atm is pointless...

I nearly broke one trying to pop out the orange cap... Colour coded them instead.
