The most bland car of the last decade???

Right, just had an debate/argument with a mate who reckons the new shape Astra is the blandest new car to come out in the last 10 years. He's specifically on about the 5dr. I totally disagreed an said there are far more bland cars than that.

So I'll start us off.....

In honesty, the Vectra C is incredibly bland. Others may not agree......

I do agree to an extent, particularly ones without bells and whistles, but the blandest car of the last decade? - surely not?!?!

Funnily enough I was sitting in my Signum outside the doctors on Friday morning waiting for my mum to finish her appointment, looking at the above-shape Fiesta, and thinking that Ford designers must have thought we'd be stupid enough to buy that bland piece of rubbish.

For those that say the Vec-C is bland, yes, a little, in prefacelift boggo-plastic-wheel-trims-no-front-foglights spec, but a decently specced Vec looks great, so it fails the blandness test. With the Fiesta however, even bling'd versions like the ST just look like a bland car with trinkets on it, so it passes the blandness test.

I know what you mean; when I bought my Signum, my cousin said to me "But why??", I said you drive an Avensis as a company car, so "why??" back at you.

I used to have a fiesta mk6.5 zetec s (facelifted version) and thought it was a nice car, that was untill a lad at work has recently bought a 55 reg 5 door mk6 in LX spec(as basic as they come), Couldn't stop laughing when he pulled up and started winding the window down, then got out and had to manually lock BOTH front doors! even my p reg corsa had electric windows and central locking, Can't understand how on a 2005 car these things aren't standard. Not good ford!

i bet the avensis is more realiable than the vec though... i used to work at toyota. and the top models are pretty damn cool
