    Default Rear Droplinks?

Has anyone done a DIY fitment of their rear ARB droplinks? I was considering changing mine just because I've sourced a pair of genuine Vx ones for a bargain price (they're not available on Trade Club , unlike the front ones), but after having a look today, access seems really poor. I can't see a decent way of levering the old one off the ARB, let alone managing to push the new one on. I think it might be a little easier if the car was 7 foot in the air and you could get a big lever in from under the car, instead of from the side, but even then it probably wouldn't be a picnic. Half considering giving it a miss (as there's no actual fault with the originals except they're old) and selling the ones I've bought on ebay for a small profit.

    A bargain?
I bought two from Parts Department for just £8
As with all things, the labour was more expensive
Local garage fitted them for £20, they thought it would take them half an hour, but they found it took that long for just one side!

Thanks for the reply, but I'm ideally after tips/advice on how to do it myself. Paying a garage to do it is the equivalent of being given a fish to eat - great for today, but what about the future? Learning how to do it myself is the equivalent of learning how to fish and therefore catching a meal for every day.

How often do you need to change such wear and tear items though?
Different if you are doing them regularly, then may as well do them yourself (if the job is easy enough, have tools, equipment, etc)

Personally, I would rather pay someone up to £20 to carry out such work (or £60 at dealership)
    Sit and watch

What I object to is paying £60 to replace such parts as the Pollen Filter!
Equally, paying one hours labour for TECH2 is just daft

Shortly I am going to be replacing the front wiper blades
Again, you could pay a garage £20 to replace them (or £60 at dealership), but this is one of those jobs that is worth DIY as they wear out
However, during a Service this is free, so if required I will just dump them in the car and advise the parts are in the car

I've done mine. Not easy, until you work it out.

All i used is loads of Silicon grease and a 3ft Breaker bar.

It's easier to unbolt both sides and spin the ARB down to gain access to remove and fit them
