Default Hi Vectra world, Elegance owner hear.

Hi all just baught a Vectra c 2002 Elegance 1.8 in Blue. Me and the GF have been driving/sharing a 58 Mondeo Titanium X and due to change of circumstances we needed a second car the vectra came up in our price range. Really chuffed with it. only Problem so far was a crapy snatch face cd player was fitted so I have put the original back in its place, but it dont seem to switch on. Any ideas? also the digital disply screen says washer leval fluid low OK! but I cant seem to select ok lol how do you operate the digita display?

    Thaks guy's and Hi

My vectra only tells you when washer fluid is low as you have an aftermarket unit you can't select ok. As for the original head unit not turning on it may would silly have you tried pressing the power button as some are set like that in setting.

On the end of your wiper stalk there are three buttons. Up and down ones nearest you, and a large 'select' on behind. These control the options on the screen. Press the large one at the back to cancel the warning, and select options. However your aftermarket stereo might be preventing this from working.

Might I suggest you download the owner's manual if you don't have one?

http://vectra-c.swi.hu/VectraManual.pdf (that's for 2002-2004 models. You can get the 2005-2008 one from the Vauxhall web site)

Does your elegance have the 7 spoke wheels as standard? I think they're 16"?

cheers for all the responce guy's. The digital display has been showing washer level fluid low sign and I noticed the other day some times it will say Safe at the top of the screen. So obviously the sterio is in safe mode. Next task is to figure out how to get around this as I have no code

Mine has never cancelled a warning, once it appears it stays there until I take action (such as refill the washer reservoir)
The three buttons on the left hand stalk only operate the cruise control
