Question What Tree should I get ?

Hi all, anybody know anything about trees? Ive been googling for ages and still cant fathom what to get. I want to get a tree for my garden to act as a sort of screen, and to also look good.. I'd like it to be very fast growing, low maintenance, and at maturity a max height and width of about 20 foot.. Any suggestions? Thanks guys..

What about these ones.... they look good, grow well, and when you trim them you can chill out and admire your car.

No chance I'm afraid. Trees that grow fast are never low maintenance and I don't think there are any that grow fast to 20 feet and then stop - it's not what trees do .

The fastest growing are Leylandii which can grow between 2 and 3 feet a year but they don't stop until they get to about 100 feet. The best you'll do is maybe one of the Pinus varieties which look a bit nicer than Leylandii and still make good screens. Whatever you get though it will keep growing at the same rate until it reaches maturity (a l-o-n-g time ) so if it grows at say 1 foot a year it will be 10 feet bigger in ten years and so on.
