Wendy had noticed the other day I had marks on the Vec passenger side (pavement side when parked on patio) looked like someone had tried to key it. Checked it, more likely bushes/branches on her back road "short cuts"
Took Wendy up to have her dressings changed today (and my ears syringed out), did a quick shop, came home. As we passed Wendy's car she said she saw a mark on hers.
Had she ever, when I'd parked and we went to look, it's been keyed in 3 circlular slashes on the bonnet, and all down the passenger side of the car. A couple of inches on the bonnet are down to bare metal, and several inches on the front wing. The rest I can get out with the machine polisher.
Looks like we won't be handing the car back to Motobility if the MRI scan results stop her driving, we can't afford the damages they'll charge.
Police say crime ref and local officers, so with the local police track record, that'll be the last we hear on that.

My car just needs a good detailing, it's Wendy's Skoda been damaged, though I have had anoither series of punctures, once again with brand new chrome screws.
Not sure if I can make it Sunday, if I can, I'll bring Wendy's over and you can have a look. Most of it will come out with a machine polish, but the bonnet and wing won't.
She hasn't even been able to drive it since mid December because of the operations and stroke. Were seriously thinking of getting rid.
Got some running around to do in mine tomorrow, and someone also kindly rammed her driver's side rear valve cap right down onto the rubber of the valve, so I can't check the pressure till the local tyre place change the valve.
Just to make it better, I broke my 14yr old Leatherman belt tool a few days back, cost mme around £80 down in Devon on holiday.
I since found two things, first, it's a very rare model worth more now than I paid for it, and second, it has a 25yr no quibble guarantee. It breaks, they fix it or replace it. Haven't asked me for receipt, how it happened, nothing - and they pay P&P. I was very surprised, these days, to get such service.

    Default Stress Levels

Really sorry to hear of your troubles, truly hope that your wife improves.
Know what you must be feeling about her car, they did mine last weekend, after I felt so elated after a wash and polish and doing the door pillar ad-ons.
There horrible masty litlle s***s need a good spanking and a bit more besides. When I was a teenager 50 years ago I went out washing and polishing cars, mowing lawns and cutting hedges to earn a few bob, these days it a smash and bash ***kyou society.
Hope that your weekend is a good one.

Possibly, but it will cost us the excess and mean Wendy making a claim.

Hi, yes, punctures are while car parked on patio outside house, can see it from bathroom or kitchen window. We have to get permission from the council to put anything up outside, then it has to be installed by an apporved and certified workman. Pita.
I've started a) checking around tyres and b) either backing a little or driving straight out randomly, hoping to dislodge anything I missed. Takes me back to the IRA days when all vehicles not securely locked away had to be checked every trip. This is such a quiet little back street, someones sees who's doing it.
Badger etc, yes, I used to wash cars, half a crown a time, as a lad, to supplement my pocket money - which had to be earned doing chores around house.garden.
Trid explaining that to my kids, who felt they "deserved" a high level of pocket money plus any extras "I need a fiver, dad". Where they thought I got it all from I never found out.
