    Default Well thats better!

I've had my Vectra for about a month now and the one stand out thing that I really disliked was the look and feel of the plastic steering wheel

    Had to come off!

Got some excellent advice from the fourms and scoured flebay........ and bagged a bargain!

    So much better!

Being the SRi leather one, the car now corners better, hugs the road adds 50 bhp, improves throttle response and lowers the car...................... ok well, it feels nice!!!!

That original one was nasty, I'd been under the misconception that all Vecs had leather steering wheels.

Looks good, nice job. I take it you have to disconnect the battery before doing this.

Oh and what have you done with your old wheel, I could do with a new left toggle control since mine is all worn out.

    Thanks!

I read through the how to on here and yes I disconnected the battery, mainly cos when you refit the airbag you keep pressing the horn, which the neighbours dont like!!

You dont need to for the audio controls though, one small torx at the back and a bit of prising off!

BYGino, if you PM me your address I will post you the left hand controls (the rhs ones are wrecked)
