    Default Brake pad wear indicator

    Hello all,

I changed rear discs and pads 2 days ago and now the brake pad wear indicator came up on dashboard. I never touched the front brakes at all.

Anybody has got any experience with this problem. I changed front break pads last year there is no chance these are worn up.

    Cheers

The wear indicator is on the front passenger side wheel (there isn't one on any of the other wheels), so either your front pads have worn or the connector has become dislodged or broken. It's also possible you may have had a pad come away from it's backing although you should have heard the horrible grinding noise that accompanies this when it happens

    Default

The pad indicator can also be displayed (depending on car type) with low brake fluid
    Mine does this also

Odd! low brake fluid should put on the handbrake lever warning light.

Yes, but it there is an option when you have the Drivers Info Centre to have the handbrake lever as that only, Low Brake Fluid warning then shares the Brake Sensor warning
I had to check my handbook to see why it was on, as there was loads of front nearside brake pad remaining
