    Default chipped/craked fog light

    Hi all

not sure if this is the correct section

My driverside front fog light is chipped around the edge, not too obvious, but it is chipped.

I am due MOT mid march, will the light pass or will i need to replace it?

    Thanks
    Paul

Don't know if broken glass is automatically a fail, but as front fog lights aren't a legal requirement you could just remove them both for the day of the MOT.

The broken glass will only fail an MOT is a member of the public were likely to get hurt by it.

took the safe option and bought a new one... £65 and manged to fit it with out removing the bumper... Top screw is the awkward one, but was accessed by pushing the driver-side in wheel arch aside and using a long reach ratchet.

Both mine are cracked - but with 400 miles a week minimum I'm not bothering to replace as they're too vulnerable.
