    Default Looking for a good HID conversion kit.

    Hi people just looking for people opinion on a good HID kit. Dont mind splashing out a bit just dont wanna pay through the nose for a kit that disappoints. Im thinking 6000k?

    Just something to think about, with the "potential" new things coming in the MOT's this year, some garages will pass a projector fitted HID kit on the proviso the colour is OEM, so maybe a 4300K may be the way to go.....

    4300k or 5000k are the "Safe Bet" colour-wise and are the brightest. As long as the beam pattern is correct, then they look like they are OEM fit. 6000k and above are bluer and likely to get you pulled by plod or fail an MOT if the tester cotton's on to them

    I've just ordered 35w 5000k kit from HID direct £49.50 delivered, should be here tomorrow

    Chatting to my MOT inspector and advised that if too blue he will fail, so they need to be thr ight colour. I've got the 4300k (same as factory fitted Xenon) - also,. 35W is more than bright enough IMO. 4300k will put out better light than 5000k.

    Was also advised that cars AFTER 2009 will require the levelling and wash system fitted and working... just advising what I've been told by the MOT man where I take my car before the HID forum police come shouting at me with differences of opinions
