Default My Vectra C RR Results

    Hi All,

I've always been intrigued by my cars performance as despite many people saying the Z22SE powered Vectra C is under-powered; I have never felt this!

    So......

I took it to a RR session to see what kind of condition my engine is in. The engine is completely standard.

    Results

    WHP - 141 BHP
    Fly Est - 164 BHP

    Torque at wheels - 163 ft/lb's
    Torque at fly - 174 ft/lb's

    Quite happy with that.

Forgot to mention that there was a slight discrepancy with the coast down due to the tracking potentially being out. This could cause a slight mis-reading with the est flywheel horse power.

Standard these engines should pull 144 BHP at the fly and about 148 ft/lb's.

Nice one mate bet your well chuffed. I think the 2.2 is a great engine I have a 2.0 turbo myself standard at the moment and I was surprised how well it accelerated. I reckon there isn't much in the engines apart from the torque

Cheers mate, i'm very happy with the results!

The torque figure especially suprised me as it's about 30 ft/lb's more than standard!

Car is serviced every 6000 miles or 6 months and has been run on V-Power since I have owned it.

Thats very impressive bud, congratulations, or well done lol. I have the z32se I too got 10 or so extra horses and 30 more torques at a rolling road on saturday, however mine is a shed with modifications to get that lol, not a well looked after engine with no modifications!

My mate ran his 3.1 Omega MV6, has been on the rolling road before and ran 245 BHP at the fly. On this rolling road he ran 244.5 BHP which helped me feel more comfortable that the rolling road was not being too optimistic!!

245 that must have had a few significant mods!

i think a 20.Turbo is a hell of alot quicker then a 2.2 ive had both and a CDTI as well and i thought the cdti was quicker then the 2.2. but still a good result for you fella shows you have a healthy engine
VXR IS FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR THRILLS !
