    Default Front / dash airbag

    Hi all,

How can I disable the passenger / dash airbag?

Unsure if this is possible but have no user manual or anything that relates to the Vec - apologies if this seems trivial.

    Cheers all

    Tony

Not possible without a tech2 session.

Unless you have the optional extra fitment of a transponder in the seat that recognises certain baby seats and will then automatically switch it off.

If the reason is to fit a baby seat in the front, then put the little darling in the back. That way it's a less of a distraction for the driver.

    Cheers Big Dave,

It is indeed for the little cherub - the missus is going away for a few days with the baby and its a fair trot, she just wanted to keep an eye on him - peace of mind and all that.

Dont think the 1.8 Elegance has auto airbag shut off thingy, so in the back he goes!

Hence why I said he will be a distraction if sat in the front passenger seat.
