    Default Missing the 19" Snowies!!

    Guys,

Had problems with the 19"'s, so got a set of SRI 17"s. BUT they look crap!!!

Have put the 19's in for welding, & refurb to gloss black. I will try & drive more careful, & keep an eye out for the pot holes, & keep the 17's as winter wheels!!

Not really into aftermarket wheels, but do VX do a stronger 19" that suits the Vec C Estate?

    Regards

They keep on cracking, don't they. Same as the BMWs.
How much for the refurbs? I to have kept my 17s, for this reason.

I get my refurbs done by John at JP Polishing 01268 680245. He refurbs 19" complete wheel, front & back, for £50/wheel including welding (if he is refurbing all 4). He does a great job, I have used him a couple of times.

One of the VXR 19's I bought was cracked (didn't notice til I got it home). Sold it and got another one. But they will crack too as the below shows, don't seem to see as many reports of them cracking but they definitely do.

bmw mv2's are really prone to this. i read somewhere that it was due to ppl fittin rft's and now bmw were making them with an extra band of alloy to combat it. i cracked two on my car. had them repaired and when the weld also cracked i just bought csl replicas.

Have Vauxhall taken any responsibility for their wheels cracking or ever admitted there is a problem with them?
