    Default Breaklight warning

Stopped on a slope at some traffic lights yesterday and got a yellow warning light on the dash as well as a 'breaklight' message? Anyhow, i didnt fancy getting out of the car to investigate as it was tail to tail traffic and i was only 10 minutes from home. By the time i'd parked up the warning light and message had gone.

Anyone had this before, do i have short/lose connection somewhere?

    ps - its a vectra-c 1.8

More than likely a bulb is imminently about to fail. The resistance change of it was enough to trigger the bulb failure warning.

When it does finally blow, remember that the other of the two tail lights will take over the role of tail/brake light so you will still have a brake light either side of the car. It gives the impression that all bulbs are still working, but the upper tail/brake light has actually failed.

This one drove me mad for a while! Kept getting the brake light message on the GID but it still seemed to be working!

Has the same problem. Changed bulb (bulb was all fine), but warning kept popping up. Took another look and saw that the "connector plate" had a "burn" mark. Had to bend the connector a little to get full connection. After that, no problem.
