    Default 1.9 cdti problem.

    Hi

2005 Vectra 1.9 cdti auto estate. High mileage car.

    Recently changed this:
    - new inlet
    - new egr
    - egr blocked with plate with 9mm hole in.
    - throttle body
    - new timing belt, water pump etc.
    - new stat
    - cleaned boost sensor

Car runds fine, idles fine, performance is good.. Everyting seems good.

But on hills when I floor it spanner lights comes on. stop and restarts car all is good again. When engine sees massive load and pedal is to the floor spanner light comes on! Hasnt had the codes read. Are they stored?

Anyone have any suggestions what to check/look for?

    Thanks!!

Yes the DTCs are stored in memory. Check for codes, that will give a us a start for isolating the fault.

If you haven't got a scanner, then try and refit your old EGR plate as this mod can bring a EGR fault on some cdtis

My guess is you don't have enough flow trough the egr which results in a spanner light

Yep remove the plate and put it back to standard .You can get a modified one from Fiat if you really want to fit something else
