Default Whats the best stuff to use on a black car?

Ive not got round to giving my GSI a good clean yet but thought I would ask whats the best products to use to get the deepest shine? I dont have an electric buffer for a start so it would be just good old elbow grease

unlimited choice , we each use different products , AG, DODO, MEGHUIRS, COLINITE,ETC.
I will say machine has it over hand when you see results and less effort.
I started using showroom shine then moved to ag ,now using dodo juice, as said each to our own, depends also on budget. hit the detailing pat of forum and scroll through, lots of advise and list of products use by members.

Get to Asda, they are doing polish for a £1. It works well enough and puts a protective coating on the paint.

Half a brick and some sand to lube it with.

It's how they invariably end up looking most of the time!!

recently i bought some of this stuff http://www.meguiars.co.uk/product/385/Ultimate-Wax/

it was great on my black signum, I applied it by hand and got an excellent finish that i was well chuffed with.. its not cheap but i bought it direct from them at one of their demo days, it had a dented packaging box so was a tenner off.
My old Signum, the animal; she now rests in pieces in several other members cars.. https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/garag...vehicle&id=200
The wifes vec show car, started as a standard daily driver and ended up like this. https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/garag...vehicle&id=709

Depends what you want to do to it mate, to be fair you could use all the products in the world but unless the paint is smooth and free from defects you will never have a good shine (IMHO). After the paint is defect free you could apply any wax on the market and it will look awesome.

When I had an carbon black 10 year old m5 after I did the clay bar on it and the swirl marks where bad I found meguiars wax covered the swirls and lasts a long time. Halfords had a special offer last year 3 for the price of 2 so I got a load.

Which wax was that? Wax has no filling properties, did you apply AG SRP before applying wax?
