    Default SRI Backbox question

    Hi,
I'm after buying a back box for SXi, but changed bumper to an SRI one, so need the SRI backbox. Spoons is selling one, but it's the facelift version. Is it exactly the same as the pre-facelift one? plus is it a simple swap, or will it need additional parts for my SXi?

    Thanks
    Dan

Not sure but the TIS states the CDti's have less back pressure on the exhaust so maybe different

The pipes diameter will also be different.. the CDTi runs a bigger bore, so you'll have to sleeve the existing pipe to get it to fit..

Mine is a 1.8 SXi petrol.
Spoons was a Facelift SRi 1.9 CDTi (150).

Will this backbox work on mine? or will it damage anything.
I understand the bore size will probably be different so will need sleeving, but if it'll cause any damage to car, I'll not bother with it..

If you sleeve it she should be fine but if it was a perfect fit (hassle free) I would have already bought it as I will need a replacement soon. Get a sleeve and fit it she might add a bit more pull being a more open box.

trust me, you won't damage your car by fitting a free-er flowing rear box..
back that far from the engine the effects of the box will be minimal, and in no way detrimental..(todays big word)
