    Default Power steering pump

I noticed this morning that my power steering pump has become a little louder than usual but when I got to work I put me hand on it and it was hot, any ideas if the pump might be on its way out, I also topped the fluid up a few weeks ago.

    Default

As an electric motor I would expect it to be hot
This might also explain the positioning

They are noisey at low speed (and as per the handbook, you should not be using the steering whilst stationery), this is due to the amount of effort required which decreases with higher speed
