Default Full keyless entry - Can this be done?

My wife is selling her Astra VXR to get a bigger car. This is down to the inament arrival of baby number 2. Her plan is to get a Vectra Derv... So that will be vectra number two in our house hold.

Anyway,.... at present she has full keyless entry and push button start. Now I know that pushbutton is pointless but what about the keyles entry...?

Her issues is that when carrying a baby and shopping tot he car you can not easily put everything down to fish out keys and open the car... Withe the astra she can open the door straight away as it's unlocked itself as the keys are in close proximity.

So my questions are... Can you retrofit keyless entry to the vectra, has anyone done this and what kit do I need to get (either afetrmarket or GM)....?

    Thanks in advance folks
    Colin

I was looking into this myself. My last car (Qashqai) was awful but I did like the fact that I never had to take the keys out of my pocket and for the missus with the huge handbag full of stuff it was a godsend.

I really like it and wanted something like this [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n6F-owxgyY&feature=related"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2n6F-owxgyY&feature=related[/ame]

If it wasn't for the really bad website I may have ordered from here: http://www.wowgadgetshop.com/ and gave it a try but I decided against it.

Main hurdle is the immobiliser but if you don't need keyless start then that's not an issue.

I have Keyless entry and push button start, its a godsend now! Didn't want the push button start at first and even asked the Range Rover dealers if I could order the car without it.. Keyless entry is kool, rather than just open the doors when I get near the car It only opens the doors when i put my hand through a door handle, and to lock the car I just push a button on one of the door handles, the doors lock and the wing mirrors fold in
