    Default Stereo code

Evening all, just had the battery replaced and it's put my stereo in safe mode, I've searched through all my documents to find the code but all I've found is a white piece of paper with the key number on, which has a 3 digit code and then a smaller 4 digit code on right hand side - 197 03.10.
The code for the stereo should be 4 digits long, so Ive tried 1970 and 0310 but still no luck, am I using the wrong card?
If so then I guess I'll have to visit the dealer and get them to sort it, as there's no way I can drive around without music!! Does anyone know how much it will cost?
If it helps - it's the Phillips 4 disc multichanger stereo think its CH600 model or something like that

There's all manner of code services online you could choose if you don't fancy paying your local Vx stealers. Just google stereo code and you'll have a load to pick from - prices don't seem to vary much and you'll need to whip out the head unit to get the serial number, etc off the back.
