What is the mileage on the car? Has engine flush been used at your car's services previously?

Ok, it's up to you. Here are the pros and cons as I understand them.

If engine flush has been used at every change, the grime won't have built up so much.

On the other hand, if it has not, then an engine flush can dislodge deposits that have built up over some time and those deposits can harm the engine. Or so I have heard.

So it's still up to you.

I hope this helps a little.

I'd be more concerned about the head gasket, yellow gunk around oil filler is the first sign.

sounds like heads on its way out. if water gets in the oil it turns it in to mayo.

some vauxhall engines suffer from condensation, depends on oil temp and engine temp at time of oil change, my son's corsa suffered from this.

Thanks for the replies, i'll get a pic or two of it and post it, to show you what i mean, Reading the thread that Ste posted i dont think i'll use a flush. If the head is going wouldnt the coolant mix in with it? coolant level is on max.
