    Default One call insurance warning

Just a warning to anyone thinking of taking a policy out with one call insurance DONT
Took a policy out with them last month had nothing but trouble with them since. They asked for proof of no claims bonus which i sent them then received a letter saying the proof was not acceptable (even tho it was what they asked for !!!! ) and they were threatening to cancel the policy .Called them and was told everything was sorted .Today received a letter from them say my policy was cancelled on the 17 Feb meaning ive been driving around for the last 11 days with no insurance as i drive for a living this could of cost me my job as well as any fine and points.
Called them tonight and was told they could not "uncancell" policy and would have to take a new one out and was then told they were going to charge me a cancellation fee of £50 as well, guess what i told them to do? lol
so avoid ONE CALL INSURANCE like the plague

How can they charge you a cancellation fee, when they cancelled your Policy?

I always keep a copy of my NCB before posting it to my new insurer. And send it by recorded, so there's proof they have it

Think you should pay a visit to Trading Standards or CAB? Sounds like they have some very iffy practices going on.

Brokers are all as bad as each other, there's some proper horror stories about the likes of Adrian flux all over the net.

I had a similar issue and experience :
    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=153202

    Trading Standards weren't issued
I had to pass the matter to the Police, due to the reason given
The matter has been with the Insurance Ombudsman since January 2012
All they could advise me is that I would be entitled to a refund of the deposit (£51) less the policy setup fee (£45), wooo £6
    Still waiting for the £6
Equally, the Police checked my documents to the forms submitted and could not see any reason for rejecting the policy (with the reason they had given)

If there are that many people reporting the same thing, then I suspect they are using a loophole to get "the cancellation fee"

A similar scam to Insurance companies that don't exist
Eventually this Insurance company (that obviously isn't an Insurance company) will disappear

Did you receive the documents and Certificate of Motor Insurance?
My suspicions were raised when looking at the name of the Underwriter!
One Insurance Limited (Address : Malta)
Note they are NOT UK based
Very unusual to have such a similar name!
