    Unhappy Is this too close to tyre shoulder to be repaired?

    Just noticed this. Gutted!! Can't take car anywhere coz waiting for clutch to be sorted in the morning. Is this too close to the shoulder to be repaired?

    Looks very borderline - some garages might fix it while others will tell you it's illegal.

    That's a write off, that line 1/2" to the left is the cut off point for repairs.
    Only the middle 3/5s are repairable.

    looking at that- if its 35mm or closer to the edge it is not repairable. looks unlikely to me fella. have you measured it yet??

    it's about 25mm from the edge of the tyre to the centre of the embedded screw head
