Default Long time away and newer car

    Hi all,

Been away for a very long time. Lack of time mainly and I sort of gave up with my old car when the ECU started playing up.

Bought myself (I say myself more of my parents) a newer model veccy.

2007 1.8 petrol Design. Extremly good condition.

Got a few jobs in mind though...

I got an XXL tomtom which I was thinking of fitting to the centre console as having an aftermarket H/U it gets depressing watching my range go down.
This a good idea? Only thing I would need to work out would be wiring and fitting?

Also fitting a Pioneer AVH-4400BT into it. I was going to go Sony 72bt but upon playing with it found it to be slower than the post. Car has reverse sensors so will eventually fit a reversing camera to. Also the USB on the back I want to install a USB port in a vacant button or in the ash tray. I want it to be very accessible so hense using a button.

Let me know what you all think

Getting started with installing a tomtom into the centre dash computer space. Tomtom used is a XXL Europe. The switch has been removed and wires soldered in place so a switch can be attached.

    Thanks for the comments.

There isn't much above it in the way of metal that I can see, so fingers crossed it will work. I will be hiding a switch in the panel below the heating controls. Worst case I need to extend the antenna some how.

It was a pig doing the wiring as the solder points are so small. (and the fact I wrenched the case open when there was 2 screws to undo underneath)
