Default 12v feed on first key click

is there one i can tap into?

the fag lighter only comes on with the ignition and its a PITA, so i want a feed that comes on with the first click of the key.

the fag lighter socket but i want it to have a decent feed incase i want to run big stuff off it...

i have a fast heavy duty air pump and it draws some currant, but in general, its just low currant stuff like the satnav or chargers that i want to run without having the ignition on.

Except for the pump I would feel that splicing would be fine. The pump on the over hand I would agree that you would possibly need slightly more heavy duty cable (not stupidly heavy duty though). Maybe fit a dedicated Power feed with inline fuse to power it with a seperate fitting?

You could always fit a direct feed to the battery, suitable heavy cable and fuses. Unless you can find the permanent live on the back of the fuse panel? Possibly one that feeds the ignition switch circuit?
