They go for anything from about £18 up. Working on a way to permanent live/ignition live wire then, couple of How To's on gettinggg power to run accessories.

    if it doesn't come with a S.D. card ,

do you only get to view while it's looking out your windscreen ?

or is there a short term memory built in and the S.D. card is a bigger storage device for longer recordings .

No card means no recording.... .... no in built memory..... I got a 16GB card for £10. my 16GB card records about 8 HRS, when card is full it will just over rights.

Good stuff. sorry for the unnecessary worry.

Regarding SD cards, I whacked a large 8Gig card in mine and then realised that I only actually usually needed the last 5 minutes before a crash. But more importantly the camera could be ceased if you get in a crash and used in evidence to incriminate you as well as evidence against other people. I now have a 2Gb card in there so there isn't as much historical footage on it. bigger isn't always better

No worries mate, was a nice surprise to get home to after thinking it wouldn't be for a while. Good thinking on SD was going to put a 32gb in but might go for 4 instead.

If its the same one I have mate you can set it to record in 2,3,5 min lengths, just don't crash in the 5 seconds it takes to reset itself and re write over the old files lol

My front facing camera runs down the passenger side pillar, behind the glovebox and I connected it into the cigrette lighter socket since that only comes on with the ignition.

Just ordered myself another for the back so need to figure out where I can wire that into.

Ignition live f16 and 17 in the boot fuse box. I can double check if you want. Get a piggy back fuse holder from the bay and your sorted. Finding a mount is the hard part.
