im sure you can disconnect the fuel line from the filter and switch ignition on, youd have to keep doing it though. and find something to catch the fuel in

Not sure if same applies to the Vec-C.

On the Astra-G and Vec-B, under the rear seat (offside) is an access panel beneath a flap that's cut in the carpet. Under the removable rubber cover is the fuel pump. Undo the locking ring (hammer and screwdriver job - watch you don't get any sparks - BOOM!!), lift out the fuel pump and syphon out the fuel.

as above, remove the filter in/feed pipe,
extend the pipe to reach and file containers(3 x5 gallon tubs)

to get it back in you will need to use a funnel with a short bit of hose to open the flip in the filler neck.then slowly pour.

or if you can get the container higher than the filler neck(wheelie bin should do,and siphon it back into the tank.

Yes there is the cover for the fuel pump under the back seats on the Vec C.
