Rust contamination?

Got a brand new white insignia, and after parking at work (sheet metal fabrication shop), washed it this morning,i noticed what looks like rust spots. It can't be rust from the car because its all over the car, even the plastic bumpers. Its even on the doors vertical surface so its not as if its iron dust coming out the factory and settling on it. I don't want to rub to hard to remove it incase I scratch the paint. What.s my best way to remove these? And would I be wise to wax the car? Cheers

You need a product called ironX this will safely remove it. Dont try and get the iron filings out any other way or you could cause damage.

If you would rather take it to a detailer they would sort it for your with the minimal fuss.

cheers byebye. I'm guessing its iron because the orange circle that spreads around it. Very small, but absolutely everywhere.even vertical surfaces.

I think they call it fallout but yes it would have come from the engineering place. Its also very common on cars parked near to railways.

I had an area on the back of my VXR covered in it and was panicking that the car had been in a collision and had a dodgy repair done on it lol. Took it to get detailed and pointed it out and its a common thing and could be dealt with and the guy explained how it happens.

Out of stock but I'll get done when its back in. never noticed it on my silver vec but someone has a white nissan (can't spell quash.....), I'll have a closer look at that.

Just clay bar it off. Buy the cheapest clay. Job done.

The clay bar will only pull the exposed tips of the embedded iron from the paint. A product such as IronX will get in to the pores of the clearcoat and attack the iron contamination at the base. This is the only way to safely and fully remove the contamination.

I would use IronX as that is what the product is designed for, as said above clay will not clear it all off. IronX is fairly cheap and goes quite far for the size of the bottle. Elite car care has some in stock.
