    Default Ring Ultima Xenons ordered

One of my high beam headlights has blown. Time to ditch the Osram nightbreakers and try these instead.

Anyone else tried the Ring Ultima's?

Also included in the price are some free Ring Xenon sidelights. Not to worried about whether they look white or yellowish to be honest, but my current sidelights are getting dim and seeing as it's a PITA to change the offside one, I might as well change them while I've got the bumper off to do the high beams.

Same as you - NB blew a few weeks ago so stuck the Ultimas in. Not much difference between the two IMO but maybe the Ring ones will last at least a year .

You dont need to take the bumper off, just release the headlights enough to get to the back of each lamp.

Believe me, the v6 has no room but I managed when fitting the HIDs.

I'm a dab hand at removing the bumper now. Done it a few times previously.
Anyway, to release the headlights you have to remove the bumper to get to the third securing bolt.

Useless ebay seller didn't include them. Awaiting his email reply as to why.

I finally got round to fitting them yesterday and gave them a road test last night.

Personally, I don't think the Ring Ultima's are as good as my Nightbreakers were. The beam pattern seems less spread out than I had with the NB's and also the light output doesn't seem so white as before.

The H1 NBs I had in the main beam were just over 3 years old. Not bad considering the H7 NB's I had in the dipped beam only lasted 8 months.

Would I recommend Ring Ultima's to people - NO.
Beginning to wish I'd gone for another set of H1 NB's again. What threw it for me was the free side lights. Serves me right for penny pinching

I did the same yesterday, same results, they are better than what was in mind.
