    Default New owner advice

I have owned my Vectra 1.9 CDTI Design for a whole 6 days now and am liking it a lot so far but there are one or two questions that i could do with answers for as i have no idea if there is something wrong or if the car is doing what it should.

1: I have the central locking to activate when i start moving. When i pull over to let someone out the door handle does not unlock the door, the knob has to be pulled up or i have to unlock the whole car with the central lock buttons. Is this correct? This is on the front passenger side. On my last car my passenger just had to operate the door handle for the door to unlock

2: I have an aeroflat rear wiper but normal old fashioned front wipers. Has the previous owner gone cheap? Can i put the aeroflat wipers on the front if this is normal?

3: This one is a fault but i would like to know if there is an easy fix. When i want to indicate left and just activate the "three flash indicate", 50% of the time i only get 1 flash, not three. It is perfectly ok when i indicate right. Any ideas on this one please?

4: I have just bought a Haynes manual and it says there are two different engines for the 1.9, a single cam and a double cam. Am i right in assuming that being as my car is the 120 hp version mine will be the single cam?

5 I am loving the automatic dimming rear view mirror and noticed that the drivers side wing mirror is also dimming itself too. However, the passenger side is just plain glass. Is this normal or has the previous owner gone cheap on this too?

That's all for now and will thank in advance anyone who can answer these things for me.

To unlock the car doors either switch off and pull your key out or press the unlock button on your door.

Passenger mirror is just plain glass, although I beleive some people have fitted a dimming drivers mirror from a Left Hand Drive car?

Many thanks for your answers so far, even those who took the effort to post twice so i would get the message

    A couple more please

I can close my windows from the outside using my key, should i be able to open them as well? Because they don't no matter how long i hold the unlock button

I was just nosing around and took my ash tray out (just because i could). There is some kind of connection/socket under there, can anyone tell me what this is for?

I have the CD 40 Opera with DAB and 6 disc multichanger. I have read a few threads on here that state you cant have an auxilliary connection if you have the DAB.

When i got the car it had a Nokia phone holder and some kind of hands free kit. I have removed the holder and just happened to play around with the bluetooth on my phone (HTC Desire) and ****** me it found a connection in my car and it works great. I then discovered that when a call comes through it mutes the radio and i get a message on the screen saying something about auxilliary input active (or something like that).

Have i got something special on the back of my radio that means i may be able to remove the bluetooth and put in an auxilliary socket so i can play an MP3 player through the stereo?

Here's hoping you can answer some of these for me
